Producing media is an exciting, up-to-the-minute form of social communication, strongly influenced by cultural, economic and political factors. To create innovative, effective communications across a range of platforms, one must be able to combine media theory with practical production skills. This course will allow you to develop transferable skills in media, communication and problem-solving.
The Foundation Year in Media is taught via a blended approach through online seminars, webinars, virtual lectures and uses student interaction and co-creation to learn new material. Collaborative online tools for creative media production are at the core of our teaching giving students the opportunity to practice together what they have learned during synchronous online activities.
